Thanks to everyone who came to the lock-in. We had a great time and it went by so fast! Hope you all enjoyed the games and didn't get too scared after witnessing the ghost of General Chambers! Here's a picture of Emily posing at the front entry. Great costume, Emily!
One of my favorite series is being made into a movie! What a surprise! Diablo Cody, the screenwriter of the teen films Juno and Jennifer's Body has been hired to adapt Francine Pascal's Sweet Valley High series for the big screen. The series was originally published in the early 80's and contained 152 books, a tv series, and even a board game. Cody says that the film will be set in the 1980's, just like the original novels. Since EVERY teen show/movie these days seems to be centered around technology, I'm interested in seeing how these girls cope without being able to take camera phone pics and text every 2 seconds. I think back then people used to pass notes to each other. Or was that just me...

Ok, so James Patterson who writes more books than should be legally allowed now has a new series called Witch and Wizard. He wrote it with Gabrielle Charbonnet, one of many authors in his "co-author" posse. He said he's been working on it for 4 years and it's ready for publication in early December. What perfect timing. Don't get me wrong, I love me some James Patterson, especially Alex Cross, but Patterson's all over the map lately. Listen to his interview, the man is fascinated that his female character "catches fire", which is weird for me. The main characters are teen brother and sister, Whisty and Whit (nice names) and they are thrust in this New Order world unlike anything they've known. Hmm, sound familiar? He also talks about the idea of the book being banned, which will make demand for the book even greater. Sorry Mr. Patterson, J.K. Rowling you ain't. We'll see how it reads. Check out the interview here
